MY ARTISTIC JOURNEY

These positions exercised my craft throughout my education, but what was really my deciding factor that I was on the correct path was signing regional contracts.  The first was as an Actor/Technician Intern at TITUSVILLE PLAYHOUSE where I performed as Trent Oliver in “The Prom”, Stan in “May We All”. Nick in “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical”, and other featured ensemble tracks for “Cabaret”, “9 to 5”, “The Wizard of Oz”, and “Rocky Horror Picture Show”, and Xanadu. I also worked as a technician executing costuming, set-construction, lighting, and prop design. After my year in Florida, I proceeded to work at TENT THEATRE (Missouri State University’s  summer stock theatre) and ROUND BARN THEATRE in Indiana.

My most recent endeavor was being a Production Vocalist with SHOW UP PRODUCTIONS on the MSC POESIA from November 2024 to October 2025. While traveling in both South America and Northern Europe, I performed in a multitude of reviews that featured classics from various genres including pop, disco, cinema scores, musical theatre, and an original musical titled “ROAD TO NOWHERE”. This contract from rehearsing in Italy, experiencing so many new cultures, and entertaining a new audience each week fulfilled a childhood dream. This opportunity was made possible by my agency, OCEANS ENTERTAINMENT as they have been an extremely trustworthy and reliable source of representation while gaining work at sea and abroad.

In regards to my upbringing, I was raised in the small Appalachian town of Middlesboro, Kentucky. Although the culture is well defined, the views are breathtaking, and the community is lively…there was certainly a lack of creative outlets to pursue. Through this realization, I began to explore other routes by performing locally, writing original music, and soon experiencing the greatest gift the world has to offer - theatre. This epiphany occurred once I finished my secondary education, causing my mindset to shift entirely. I found that manifesting a character aligned with a well-devised plot with a group of like minded individuals brought me more joy than I had ever felt. I was “bit by the bug” as folks in Kentucky say.

I understood that pursuing live entertainment meant transitioning from the mountains towards an environment more suited for my training and professional experience. Once moving to central Kentucky, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a Musical Theatre Certification at the UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY. I also expanded my craft by studying vocal performance, film & television, and dramatic writing. During college I worked at DOLLYWOOD'S IMAGINATION PLAYHOUSE as their Male Swing which taught my love for TYA productions and interactions with a younger audience. Since learning this, I taught as an acting/directing coach for children along with being a theatre supervisor/technician at several locations.

Along with musical theatre, another colossal passion I have obtained over the last fifteen years is writing and producing my own music. I began writing at the age of fourteen when he recorded his first small album titled “FOREVER”. After concluding my childhood and entering the “real” world, it transpired to me that I wanted to release something that felt as if those around me could endure my coming-of-age story. Once again, I found that writing is such a cathartic way of expressing what you can’t verbally say. After a lot of lessons learned and wearing my heart on my sleeve, I released  “FULL DISCLOSURE” which was a snapshot of my college years. In May of the following year , I released my second independent album, “WHAT I LEARNED OVER COFFEE” which allowed me to focus on the importance of an acoustic sound and narrative through song writing. I am proud to say that the recording hasn’t ceased as a third project is to be released in the coming year - but the title track “KENTUCKY” is available to listen on all streaming platforms or wherever you listen to music.

I am actively working on pursuing my passion daily - but I am also practicing sustainability, mental clarity, and a healthy balance during the most important stages of this life. This is my story, and although I am so pleased of what it’s taken to get here - I am even more motivated to continue learning, growing, and experiencing as an artist in the coming moments. I’ve always enjoyed a challenge, but accomplishing one while living my dream is even more rewarding.
